Perfect Place to Enjoy Peace in the Sun

In a peaceful location and set in beautiful grounds, this is the perfect place for a restful holiday. As it was early in year we did not use the pool but it looked very inviting. All the staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly and the housekeeping was especially amazing.

As a leisure/rest trip we were unlucky on the loud party group staying on the top floor and the the walls echoed a lot.

It's quiet.

It's quiet. Almost deserted in winter.

It's a long way from anything in the winter. I had a car, but without one or a really good set of legs, it would be limiting.

Great place shame about the noisy neighbors.

The rooms are a great size, well equipped kitchen, great maid service lovely friendly staff. We had comfy beds great wardrobe and drawer space. Lounge dining area is a great size. Back to the kitchen it's the best equipped we have ever had.

The rooms are very noisy if you have anyone above or at the side of you.The walls are very thin you think you are in the same room as them. This is the only reason we will not go back. Ask for an end terrace room so you won't be disturbed on all sides.The settee is uncomfortable.

What was the highlight of Colina Da Lapa Resort

We would try to stay elsewhere the next time.

We did not get breakfast with our room.

The place is a little tired. The phone never worked the whole time we were there, even though we asked them to fix it. The door to the patio off the kitchen had to be fixed to get it to close and lock properly. They provide the bare minimum of dishes, pots and pans and utensils, but don't provide dish soap or a cloth to wash them with. There were two soap dispensers in the bathroom that were really like what you find in a public washroom. No other toiletries were provided. There was a washing machine that we liked very much after we were told the trick on how to use it from the management. There were two air conditioners - one in the living room and one in the bedroom, but only one remote to operate both of them and we had to ask for an extra plug for the kitchen which only had one outlet. They do not provide towels to use at the pool or to take to the beach. The shuttle drops you off in town twice a day in the morning at 10:00 or 11:00 and picks you up once - at 4:00 p.m. We also had a bit of an ant problem in the bathroom and the kitchen.

Pool, table tennis and kids entertainment. Elsa was great.

The food was not as good as I'd expect. We stayed B&B and were disappointed with the breakfast. We had bland pizza on the first day when we arrived which put us off eating there again

The restaurant had changed since a previous visit and the menu was no longer Portuguese. I was given the impression this would be changing back soon.

What was the highlight of Colina Da Lapa Resort

Lovely views, kid friendly, close to the golf.

The location is excellent & the private apartments, of which we had 2, are superb. We asked to move to one with a view & that changed the whole experience. Stunning views from the apartments at the back. Then to our pleasant surprise the restaurant food is superb. Just to clarify we stayed in May & the prices were outstanding for that time.

We came for lunch on a Sunday & the restaurant couldn’t accommodate us as they had a huge booking coming, presumably for golf. We had just returned from a car journey & had to go back out again. We had a small child which didn’t help.

Rooms were Ok, plain design but plenty of space.

Rooms were Ok, plain design but plenty of space. Outdoor space is plenty. Kids have small play area nearby pool. Location is great about 15min drive you have heart of Algarve region (& Zoomania, splash, Portimao, etc etc)

Staff was ok.. being guest missed hospitality. Biggest turn off was breakfast. Everyday same small assortment despite of charging 8€/PP. It's so boating to have it twice. Beans, egg etc was kept cold.
